About PublicPayScales

PublicPayScales is a readable index of US state civil-service pay: grade-and-step salary schedules, job-classification salary ranges, and — over time — raise history. Every figure is drawn from the state’s own human-resources publications and shown with the effective date and a citation to the source it came from.

What we publish

What we don’t publish

We publish positions, not people. There is no individual, name-level, or “what does person X earn” data here — only the published schedules and ranges that apply to a classification. We also don’t offer pay advice, “average salary” estimates, or ratings.

Not a government website

PublicPayScales is an independent reference. It is not affiliated with any state agency and is not a government service. We reproduce publicly-published state compensation data and cite the source on every table so you can verify it yourself.

Corrections
